These LGBTQ youth stories prove that as much as we have gained so much ground as a community these past few years, there is still much to accomplish for equality. But we are counting our blessings.

    Through this semi-animated documentary, we enter Jordy’s fantasy world and embark on a quest to womanliness, in search of the possibilities and limitations of the malleability of the female body.

    Elegance Bratton / USA / 2016 / 12 mins
    Hassan Kendricks explores his trans identity in New York City’s underground ballroom scene.

  4. Pillow Talk

    Louise Marie Crooke / UK / 2016 / 8 mins
    A coming-of-age film, set in the early 90’s, about the changing friendship between 14-year-old Cara and her childhood best friend Lucy. Lucy suspects that Cara has feelings for girls rather than boys and she is determined to get the truth out of her. Even at the risk of damaging their friendship.

  5. Approaching

    Tereza Pospíšilová / Czech Republic / 2016 / 30 mins
    Fifteen-year-old Roma teenager Martin is running away from home, hoping to start a new life in Prague. He ends up sharing a train cabin with an old man, who quite possibly might be traveling back to Prague for one final time. It’s an extraordinary meeting of two lonely people showing that diversity is something that should enrich and not separate people.
